doctors appointment tomorrow- *finally*

I finally go to see the Haematologist tomorrow, and not too soon. I need to get to see an OB before long. I'm 10 weeks nearly now, and I haven't had my first pre-natal visit yet, and it's beginning to make me anxious! Hopefully the time between him referring me to someone and my actually being seen will not be too lengthy.

I read today that they don't really recommend inducing a natural birth if you've had a previous c-section. Apparently the stress on the scar tissue can be too great as induced contractions are tougher on the body. I hope this doesn't rule out a natural birth for me, I really would rather avoid another c-section. Probably it'll come down to weighing up the risks i.e. risk of rupture vs risk of blood clot.

I was induced with I (after a caesarean with X) and whilst they were *worried* about me bursting open, as the wound had opened after X, they thought that it was better to give natural birth a try rather then just going ahead with another operation.

The only problem is that my body does not know how to go into labour (and when it gets there things go wrong) so a c-section was always going to be the way forward for me. The only problem now is that they do not recommend my having anymore kids. Two is the limit, and if I were to get pregnant, then three would have to be it and I would have to be looked after by a consultant and operated on by one. I had a registrar with I as it was. She stitched me up so well it looked like I had literally been zipped up! The only problem with that was the midwife could not get the stitch out and I had to travel back to the hospital with my stitches half in and half out. OUCH!

Good luck with the appointment!
