Do not wash your car when it's minus 36 outside

I learned the above lesson tonight.

I went through a car wash because my car was so dirty with salt and stuff that every time I got in my clothes were getting filthy..... anyways, as a result of said car wash the doors all froze shut, the lock on my door froze so that I couldn't even get the key in, and for some reason later on same evening a thick layer of ice formed on the *inside* of the windscreen making it very difficult (!) to drive.

got to love canadian winters!

I coulda told you that! Actually, common sense could have told you that if you pour a bunch of water all over your car, and squirt it at high pressure into all the crevices, when it's -20 out, the water will freeze.

I can't believe how many people I've seen getting car washes in the last week or two. A gas station attendant even asked me on one of the really frigid days if I wanted a car wash! Er, no, if I wanted my car encased in ice I'd have asked you for it already.
