One of the things I'm pondering on with regards D's issues with risk taking is whether *I* am to blame, in part, for it.
I think I might ride him a bit hard when I feel he's not doing something properly and I wonder if it might be making things worse. For example if he's doing his homework and not concentrating or doing giant letters instead of tidy ones I tend to get frustrated with him & lecture him on trying harder, not messing up, concentrate for goodness sake!!
Thoughts?
