Today, while driving back from the birth certificate office downtown, D decided to watch the first Harry Potter movie in the car. Obviously, as I was driving, I couldn't see the movie.... but due to the headphones going AWOL I had no choice but to listen to it. As Hagrid dropped off baby Harry to the Dursleys after his parents were killed I found myself tearing up at the thought of this poor parentless baby. Then I had to laugh at myself for being such a dickhead!
Later, G and I watched 'Extreme Makeover - Home Edition' and I cried about 10 times as they rebuilt a house for a woman with 3 kids, whose husband and eldest son had died in a car crash the previous year.
It's weird, after being a bit of an emotional abyss , to suddenly FEEL again. I like it. Even if I am being a bit of a spud.
