The other side

Dare I say that I feel as though I might possibly be coming out of the other side of the abyss of exhaustion?

I've had a couple of weeks of taking it really easy, doing very little and have felt that even the smallest of actions has taken it out of me. But the rest seems to have done me some good because I am slowly beginning to feel human. I've done a few more things this week than I've been doing in the last few, and they haven't wiped me out. Hopefully things will continue to improve!

Meanwhile, today I am 15 weeks pregnant. Still not feeling the baby move yet which obviously has me a little paranoid but fingers crossed for the scan on Wednesday that all is well :)

When did you feel the boys move? Carolyne's not felt anything yet (or she hasn't told me anyway) and she's now 18 weeks.

Umm, with Dylan I believe it was (believe it or not) about 27 weeks. I think I had, I must have, felt him move before that but attributed it to gas moving around in my stomach / intestines - the feeling is extremely similar...... and it wasn't until an arm or a leg began to punch out of my belly that I realised I was feeling him move! I was freaking out about it!

With Harry according to my blog it was somewhere really early on between 12-15 weeks...... hence paranoid that I am not feeling this one move! But having said that, this pregnancy is far more similar to that I had with Dylan than it is to the pregnancy with Harry.

I don't know if this helps any, but the exhaustion of early pregnancy was AWFUL for me for my last two. Especially this time. I slept until 7:45 every morning and went to bed at 8:30 every night PLUS I had to take a nap. Even then, I still felt like I was walking in a jet-lag-like fog. I'm not sure if it was because the kids wore me out more or if it was just because I am older this time. It started lifting around 15 weeks for me but took another couple weeks before I felt somewhat normal. I think I'm on the downslide again because I've started needing a nap again.

When you have your scan, make sure to ask whether your placenta is to the back or front of your uterus. I've found it makes a huge difference in how early and how much you can feel the baby kick.

All the best!
