Being the only non-toddling member of the household not addicted to the XBox, the Wii or the Nintendo DS, (or even the old broken Gameboy Advance which Harry likes to refer to as 'my tendo') I was quite surprised when G brought a PSP home from work that he'd borrowed and found myself playing a puzzle game non stop.
Although I don't like most games, I like puzzle games. Infact I often play them on my phone, or occasionally on my PC, the type of game where you have coloured blocks to match and blast......tetris-esque type things. I have been spending all evening for the last few days with my nose in it.
Anyway - as the thing had to go back on Monday G went out and bought me a PSP of my very own :-) Awesome - I'm now a bona fide member of this family.
Dylan is amusingly quite put out. He thinks he has ownership of all video game activities, and that it should be a shared resource, (meaning that he gets to play it and I don't.) When it was made clear to him that this was 'MUMs' PSP, he then insisted that we buy him one of his own . Spoiled monkey that he is he couldn't understand why we were not being FAIR and why HE should not get one too. I should point out that he owns an XBox, a Wii,and is on his 3rd Nintendo DS after breaking the first two. Our amusement at his demands didn't help much either.. he was really quite cross, lol.
But, finally having come around to the idea that this is MUM's game, he is now offering all sorts of 'help'.. meaning that if I'm playing it he sits and looks over my shoulder and offers "advice" (annoying commentary). Or asks if he can have a go at the particular game then when I get it back has done a bunch of things half cocked and I have to go round fixing them.
V funny.
