Dylan took an Accelerated Reader test at school this week and got 20/20. The test was for readers in 7th grade (he's in 2nd grade). His teacher said she has never seen this happen in any class she's ever taught. The boy is a genius, of course ;-)
After a week of potty training at home (with no accidents except the day we introduced undies) I finally ventured out a couple of times. On Monday Harry and I popped to a shop. The second we arrived he announced that he needed to wee. We made our way to the bathroom, successfully, and with the help of the potty seat I'd brought along, he wee'd in the big loo quite happily.
Yesterday we went to the park and I was convinced this would be an accident waiting to happen - but no, after an hour or so of play he announced he needed a wee and we walked off (quite a way) to the loo's where I put my new travel-collapsible-potty-seat-thing on the seat and sat him on, and he wee'd again quite happily. When we got home he decided he would rather use the big loo here too. Amazing.
