1 week into the diet

I'm good, I'm down 5lb. The food is OK..... the breakfasts and lunches are fine and it's easy to eat the extra bits too (fruits, veg's, salads). The dinners are a bit hit & miss but at least next month I"ll know which ones I don't like when I do the order again. G is following it too but inexplicably isn't losing weight. His blood sugar, though, has stablized for the first time , well, EVER. Fantastic. He needs to give them a call re: the weight loss. I suspect it's his body going from 0391201302983109283102938 calories per day to 1500 and going into shock / starvation mode. It'll probably start coming off soon.

If his sugars were spiking too high then that's an indication he wasn't actually absorbing all his food (hence why it's left in the bloodstream) so it may be that he's now making full use, and no more, of the food that he is taking in.

For a diabetic...

amount of insulin = amount of carbs => weight

so in order to actually lose weight once the sugars are sorted out the amount of insulin taken has to start coming down (but the sugars remain "well" controlled).

(am watching with interest... I've never got a diet to work )

Hi. I just came across your blog as I was looking up info on Nutrisystem and breastfeeding/nursing. I was wondering how your doing and how your milk supply is? My little guy is 2 mos old and I desperately want to lose this weight. I think NS would be a great way to go, but I don't want to mess up my milk supply or make my baby colicky or constipated, etc. Would you mind e-mailing me and letting me know how things are going? OR just post a reply here? Thank you so much.
